Regain your youthfulness with Estetica Beauty’s GeneO+ Super Facial Treatment
As time passes by, our skin loses its original suppleness and elasticity. The most obvious signs of aging tend to appear on our face sadly. Upon the onset of mid-twenties, we come across scary terms such as Crows’ Feet and Frown Lines. Although we cannot stop the aging process completely, we can delay its symptoms through proper skincare – the GeneO+ Super Facial Treatment by Estetica Beauty in particular.
Estetica Beauty is an established beauty institute in Singapore with 9 outlets island-wide with Westgate being the newest.
Estetica Beauty strives to assist every woman to achieve their best physiques by providing individual consultation and customised facial and body treatments for a wide spectrum of skin needs. GeneO+ Super Facial (90 Min, S$758) – a skin treatment that supersedes Microdermabrasion
The GeneO+ Super Facial comes in 2 treatments to suit various needs – NeoRevive for skin needing a moisture and tone boost and NeoBright which serves to lighten skin pigmentation and brightens sallow complexions. Both treatments use OxyGeneo® proprietary products that contain some proven and not unfamiliar ingredients such as Azelaic Acid, Kojic Acid, Retinol, Hyaluronic Acid and Peptides.
- Azelaic Acid: Widely used agent to treat hyper-pigmentation by reducing activity of pigment producing cells
- Kojic Acid: Naturally occurring fungi by-product that inhibits melanin production. Produces a synergistic lightening and bleaching effect when combined with Azelaic Acid
- Retinol: Derivative of Vitamin A. Clinically proven to increase production of collagen and skin cells and crowned as one of he best anti-aging solutions
- Hyaluronic Acid: Naturally produced by the body and is responsible for fluid retention and skin moisurising. The body’s ability to maintain optimum hyaluronic acid levels decreases as we age. By infusing Hyaluronic Acid, the skin is able to regain its lost moisture and volume and hence reducing wrinkles
- Peptides: Power-packed proteins to strengthen the skin’s ability to retain fluids. When combined with Hyaluronic Acid, it effects dermal repair
The GeneO+ is Medical Aesthetic Device developed by Pollogen and is capable to run 3 programs in the following order:
- TripollarRF: For Skin Tightening, Firming and Rejuvenation
- OxyGeneo®: Delivers 3 essential skin renewing treatments simultaneously – exfoliation, infusion and oxygenation (see below illustration)
- Ultrasound: Increases Skin Permeability for maximum infusion of essential nutrients
Although the GeneO+ Super Facial sounds promising with its cutting edge technology, but those with fillers done recently will have to wait 6 months later to experience this treatment as this new generation RF penetrates deep into the skin’s layers to boost production of collagen and elastin fibres, which might affect injected fillers.
I would suggest for you to do a professional skin assessment and consultation with Estetica Beauty to find out your suitability.
I had my one-to-one consultation with my consultant – Anna
Prior to the consultation, I completed a fact-finding form so as to facilitate Anna to understand my skin condition / concerns more.
She then proceeded to scan different parts on my face using the SkinTech machine to assess my skin’s current condition.
Apparently, I’m scoring low on my skin’s elasticity (3D Section) and have pretty oily skin that is prone to acne breakouts. In addition to that, I have uneven skin tone as well
Due to my current skin condition, Anna decided to skip the OxyGeneo® step as the exfoliation process might be too harsh for my sensitive skin.
After the consultation, I was brought into the treatment room to get changed.
Then, I had my face cleansed completely to prep it for the facial treatment.
#3 TripollarRF Treatment
A thin layer of gel was applied onto my face to prepare for the TripollarRF treatment.
The therapist started to massage my face with the applicator in small circular motions. There was a slight warm sensation and it felt really relaxing to have my face massaged for such a long period *hehehe*
#4 Application of Hydrating Serum
After the TripollarRF treatment, Hyaluronic Acid serum was applied onto my face to replenish moisture.
#5 Ultrasound treatment
After the serum was applied and absorbed into my skin, a water-based gel is applied onto my face to prep it for the Ultrasound Treatment.
Then, the Ultrasound program was activated on the GeneO+ Machine and massaged onto my face in small circular motions.
Throughout the process when the Ultrasonic waves were boosting my moisture level, I could hear tiny sounds made by the machine which was pretty fascinating.
To be honest, the massage felt too good that I was a little disappointed when the timer beeped and treatment was put to a halt.
#6 Soothing Facial Mask
As my sensitive face turned a little red from the treatment, Anna went the extra mile and gave me some soothing facial mask onto my face to calm it down for a good 15 minutes.
This was not included in the GenO+ Super Facial package but it did help calm my face down alot. Kudos to good service!
Before VS After
I felt that my skin is alot firmer immediately after the treatment.
From the comparison above, my sagging right cheek has firmed up a fair bit as the indent has disappeared after treatment!
My face looks less bloated and the V-line area is more prominent (I used to look more like a fishball prior to treatment). My skin also felt bouncier and suppler with the hydration boost! Also, I was told that the results from the GeneO+ Super Facial is long-lasting and hence is worth its price!
In addition to the above, Anna gave me some of their in-house skincare products to try out – I will be writing a separate blog review for them.
